i agree, which is why i wasn't happy with my essay.
there was just too much there and not enough in depth analysis. and my address to the prompt was very one sided.

but for the second one, nicks mother is the perfect example to use as a strong female.
and while it may appear too much to you, for me it was quite easy to write the 4-5 pages on this essay.
i can churn out 2500 word essays on LBW with ease. if it was on my other texts, such as 1984 or Tirra Lirra or even The Island, I wouldnt be able to. But i had LBW down pat.

The first topic was atrocious... how would you define the 'mortality' of other characters? Not the right word to use, I say.

It was fine. Clearly the 'mortality of others' could refer to the death or imminent death of others faced by the characters. The perfect example was Phil; Nick's 'mortality' gave him a wake-up call as he recognised the importance of his family and the "sanctity of life" by giving up smoking.

It was quite accessible I thought. I barely contemplated the second question, there was no need.

I did:

1. Nick, Andy and the train driver
2. Anna, Joan and Julia
3. Meryl and Phil (exceptions to weak men/strong women)
4. All characters find strength in final minutes of the film, gender doesn't matter etc.

2010 - English (45), German (42), Revolutions (37), Geography (42), Legal Studies (38)
