What kind of questions do you think they'll throw at us?

I reckon there might be a SA on how working memory integrates from both phonological loop & visuospatial sketchpad

last year like 75% of people got the UCS and CR wrong - that grape one where you had to say "sight of grape" not just " grapes"
maybe they'll put something like that in again, so we must be very specific :)

55% of people also got 0 marks on the SA question on Positive transfer of skill :S
Also 85% of people got 0 for What does the level of significance <0.05 mean?

you know how you said "working memory integrates from both phonological loop & visuospatial sketchpad" - it is through the central executive right?

yep, the Central executive acts like a processor

also still, does anyone know a straight definition for visuospatial sketchpad?
central executive i now have down, thanks guys aha. and phonological loop is straightforward,
yet for visuospatial... it's visual and..spatial information. so i'm not entirely clear on a definition.

Visuospatial sketchpad temporarily stores visual and spatial info, such as the location and nature of objects in the environment.

^Textbook definition

doh coolhat beat me to it :P

I'm guessing, since there doesn't seem to be any other definitions.
Another text book one I've got is "responsible for the temp storage and manipulation of visual and spatial info"

Thats the one i use.
Also i would mention. ( if they said DESCRIBE and left 2-3 lines).
The visiospatial sketchpad allows us to remember where specific objects are placed in the environment and well as the nature of those objects.
also would mention its a SUBSYSTEM of baddleys theory of working memory. :)

this is also another little paragraph I found on it :)

As we move around, our position in relation to objects is constantly changing and it is important that we can update this information. For example, being aware of where we are in relation to desks, chairs and tables when we are walking around a classroom means that we don't bump into things too often!

The sketchpad also displays and manipulates visual and spatial information held in long-term memory. For example, the spatial layout of your house is held in LTM. Try answering this question: How many windows are there in the front of your house? You probably find yourself picturing the front of your house and counting the windows. An image has been retrieved from LTM and pictured on the sketchpad.
