Definitely. You have to be able to read and understand sound level vs Frequency graphs. It's one of the basics...!!

You need to select the speakers which provide the best fidelity across the desired frequency ranges. For example, Q has a high quality of reproduction over the 100- 1000 Hz range making it suitible for the frequency levels for speech, whilst not being suitable to instruments. R has high fidelity for around 800 - 10kHz.
