Classpad 330 for moi.

EDIT: However, the best method was to;

Find the derivative, let the numerator equal zero.
This lead to cos^2(x) = 1/3

Sub that into the volume equation to get; (4000/3)* sqrt[(1/9) - (2/27)]
NOTE: cos^4(x) = (cos^2(x))^2 = (1/3)^2 = 1/9. Much easier than isolating x and subbing back in, same for cos^6(x).

At this step did I use the calculator for the first time, simplifying the above term gave 4000sqrt(3)/27 :)

did u try it on your calculator first and get no solutions or was that just me???

you shoulda seen the answer the class pad pulled out.

were u using classpad 330 because i got no solution. + no one in our school got it and we all use classpad 330, not even the teacher, so i'm think that there might have been a calculator issue on the classpad with this question

 i have the 330 but i got an answer that was the length of the page, but i think it is the correct one, although i doubt VCAA will reward a mark for it
failed uni

I've always preferred manual methods over the CAS, and it's been a negative all throughout the year for me. Wasting time doing it by hand when others did it on the calc, but it paid off today! Didn't bother with the calc till I got to that very last part. :)
