like me, im pretty sure about 90% of ppl here pulled one MAJOR dumbcunt (personal term for stupid mistake) and think there chances for 50 are gone... but say a 39/40er gets 60/60, is a 50 still in the works or i should i just forget about it... :(
I AM THE GAMBLOR.
NEVER QUESTION THAT.

dropping 1 mark can still potentially yield a 50 depending on the difficulty of exam 2, so yes you could still get a 50

Depends on your SACs. I got 100% for SACs, 100% on exam 1 and 57/60 on exam 2 (yeah I was like WTF because I thought I lost only 1 mark but my SoM said otherwise) to get 49. So don't give up :) It's possible.

Retarded ones! :(

For instance, Q4 of Module 2 of 09 exam - the max/min profit question. I did the working right but subbed in the wrong points. They took off 2 marks for that. Another mark for the explanation on seasonal adjustment. I did not think that was actually wrong at the time, plus it matched with what itute said. VCAA is kinda pedantic :P

Yep. By far, person rank 2 was a significant number of marks below me. That's why I think SACs are important. They were weighted the same after all. I'd have probably got 47-48 if my SACs weren't as good but for the same exam marks.

This happened with our rank 1 as well, same scores as that, hence I also agree that SACS DO count. I dropped 1 MC and ended up dropping a study score last year. Being ranked 1st may have prevented that :/
