As someone who isn't quite sure how to Revise etc...

Do you remember absolutely everything you have done in the course up till that date. For example, constant revision, every weekend. Or do you just learn it as it comes, then 4 weeks before the exam re-learn everything/cram.

I think it would be a combination of the two?

Just to be safe, I'd do both - you never know what could be tested.

Wellll depends what your talking about, Exam revision or just studying through out the year. Constant revision every weekend is basically what you do all year, and then exam revision is going over everything you've done however long before the exam you decide to start revising. So yeah, basically, you do both over the year, but exam revision is just going over everything you've learnt before an exam.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

I found that during the year I was too busy doing regular work to really revise properly. In the holidays I'd do revision and work ahead but during semester/terms I just attempted to stay on top of everything.

Then in term 3 break, just go back to the start and relearn everything

Learn it as it comes. I originally planned at the start of the year to revise every 2 weeks since that's what all the study advice I had heard said, but I never bothered doing it, and I don't think it would have helped anyway.

My approach is to just take 3-4 hours revising everything 2 days before a SAC, or 2-3 weeks before an exam. Then spam practice SACs/exams until the actual date.

You should be revising your material to the extent that you could pull an A+ in an unexpected SAC or test.

In year 8, this is what our Math teacher used to do.

You were supposed to be studying at the very least, an hour of math each day, so you'd still do well in a test she would just spring on you in a random lesson.

Personally for maths, just learn the concepts of everything, do practise questions that are set etc. Then before exams or sacs, rethink and confirm many concepts for yourself again, then just do lots of exam papers. Not sure on other subjects cause I can't rmb what I did.
