Well you probably already know that it's in media influence this year but I may as well tell you just in case.

This is from the lisa worthy media study guide:

Extended Response - Your ER does not have to be in the same formal style as expected in an English essay. However, you should not write in point form, unless you are severely short of time and answering more fully would mean not even attempting other questions
- Provide a detailed and in-depth response to the question
- This type of question is designed to allow you to respond according to your unique understanding of the topic.

And this is from the Dunscombe Leading edge one:
Extended Response - Start every new idea in a new paragraph. ER requires paragraphing. They give a sense of order and development in your writing
- State the main point of a paragraph in the first sentence. The following sentences in the paragraph support that point.
- Link paragraphs and sentences using such words as however, similarly, in contrast and consequently to give a smooth flow in your response.
- It should include an introduction, development paragraphs and a concluding paragraph which sums up your ideas.

So basically it's kind of writing an essay in terms of the structure of how you write it, but you don't need to be so formal and your expression isn't really critiqued more so your use of media vocab and evidence.

I'd suggest writing a plan of each point you want to make beforehand so your not just waffling on about one thing to the next.

Hope that helps.

Haha Yes I'm doing it today :S I'm really really nervous. I've worked hard throughout the year but there's heaps of pressure so I'm freaking out a bit. And GOOD LUCK. I'll need it too.
