I thought for the benefit of everyone doing Legal Studies, I'd list the cases from the notes I got from TSFX. They can be referred to in SACs and the end-of-year exam. Most of the cases should be in your textbook, if not, try looking them up on Google for further information. There is also that other thread - it's stickied, which contains case examples as well. This should help when it comes to the Constitution/High Court interpretation of the Constitution.
Examples of Constitutional Interpretation cases:
- The Engineer's Case (1920)
- Brislan's Case (1935)
- Jones V. The Commonwealth (1965)
- The Franklin Dam Case (1983)
- Australian Capital Television P/L V. The Commonwealth (1992)
Example of Common Law cases:
- Grant V. Australian Knitting Mills (1936)
- Brisbane V. Cross (1978)
- Mabo (1992)
- Wiki (1996)
- Heather Osland Case (1998)
Good luck to everyone doing Legal! That is all.
