cannot view a personal message

So on the "my messages" tab it says i've got one message, however when i go to view to view it i can't see it and [1] remains next to the my messages tab.
sorry if this is confusing.

Sorry. A few people got stuck with messages that don't actually exist from a recent update. Since it's impossible to tell who, I'm going to reset them all back to 0.
