I dont have a conclusive opinion because I've never been to either country so my experiences with English and French people have been in Australia where the culture is not so obvious.

I dont like how some English people (from Australia) think they have the best football team based on the fact they have the most commercialised league in the world (dominated by foreigners of course) and it is only in instances for example where England don't qualify for the Euros that they are brought back down to earth.

I think of most countries in the respect to football =)
