Anyone doing it?

I'm thinking about transferring because i wanna continue learning Chinese and possibly pick up Japanese.

But i heard monash is bad for languages because of a cultural component?

What do you guys think?

Neither of those languages have a cultural component - I believe it's a European language thing.

I started with a Commerce double and transferred (to UoM though) because I didn't realise how much of a bitch trying to study a language with that double would be

If you wanted to study just the one language, then it would be better to pick up a Diploma of Languages. That way you don't have to do any of the compulsory arts subjects and worry about having a minor
Religion and Society (38), IT - Software Development (45) English (35), Chemistry (49), Methods CAS (48), Specialist Maths (50)
ENTER: 99.15

2010 - Bachelor of Science(Maths)/Engineering(Chemical) - Monash Clayton

Where are you getting 6 years from? The Bachelor of Engineering is 4 years and the Diploma of Languages is 1 year... Same duration as a BE/BA double degree.

But you can take extra units in one of the years to cut it to 5 years. :)
