Are there rules regulating dictionaries used for the exam? What happens if you get caught with notes written in them?
2010: Legal Studies [34]
2011: English [41] Italian [27], Further Mathematics [32], Biology[40], Chemistry[34]

What happens if you get caught with notes written in them?

The same thing that happens in your English or Maths exam (reference materials).

LOTE Examinations:
Written component
•  Any monolingual and/or bilingual printed dictionary in one or two separate volumes.
Note: The dictionary must not contain any highlighting or annotation or tabs not part of the original publication. A thesaurus is not permitted. Electronic dictionaries are not permitted.
