Quick Question about SS

Let's say for GA 1, 2 and 3, the median (according to VCAA) is a "B". Does that mean that in order to get a 30+ SS, you have to get higher than a B or whatever the median is?

In simplistic terms, yep, I'm pretty sure that's right for the raw SS.

So far so good then, 'cept for methods.

It's funny how methods have a higher median than BM or further o.o
Must be very competitive in this subject.

It makes a fair bit of sense. Most people who do Methods are quite studious and will have a go, so the median mark will be higher than something like Further where there is greater spread in the calibre/effort of students. Well that's my reasoning anyway. Exam difficulties also vary, amongst a number of other factors. And don't forget that someone scaling is also a factor after your raw score.

Oh, and a B in a SAC is not a B in GA1, it has to go through moderation first, but it's good to hear that you're doing well overall.
