These are some general questions I need help with for some of my Sac revision,
The questions are as follows;
One:
When ordering parts in the real world, why would you use a 2 decimal accuracy, give a few dot points.
Two:
How would you write the following equation using "Formal function notaion" 3(x+2)-x^2, the domain is 0
x
5
Three:
State a hybrid function for the following two equations: ((x-4)^2)+5, 0
x
4 & (0.2(x-3)^2)+5, 4
x
8
Hope someone can help!!
Thanks
!!
1) lets say you have rounded 1.25 to 1
if you were building a bridge where 1 represented 100m, then you'll be pretty damn stuffed.
take that into context

2) i'm sure you'd have seen this kind of stuff:
=blah)
so in this case, the first R (representing the domain), will be restricted to your specification.
this will be the "formal" notation.
note, that the second R, codomain, will always be R for the purpose of VCE MM
3) you basically answered it yourself:
if h(x) is our hybrid function
=\left\{ \begin{array}{cc} f(x) & domain \\ g(x) & domain \\ \end{array})
