It's not really much harder....most of it builds on topics introduced in 1/2....and the probability part gets easier!  Well in my opinion anyway :)  The only hard thing about it is the fact that there are SACs that actually count!

yes units 3+4  is a lot harder in that you have to do exams with more difficult questions as opposed to those easy sac questions where everybody gets 80% for in year 11!

Oh ok, so you don't do any new topics or anything it's just kind of consolidating and expanding on yr 11 methods?!

Things will be more complicated because its unit 3/4. You'll be delving further with integration, learning a new aspect of probability, modulus, composite functions and anti differentiating chain rules. Overall, in terms of difficulty, only ever so slightly :).
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

Depends on what your school taught in year 11. For me, most of it is revision, except there are/will be some new stuff that we've never seen before. If youre half decent at maths, then you should do fine in methods - it shouldnt be too hard...

technically its a little bit harder..
but to be honest the methods course is not overly hard but because of this we must make sure that we can gain the maximum amount of marks.
SO NO CARELESS MISTAKES ::)

Probability is different (and easier), but its really only an extension of 1+2. Nothing to be worried about.

It all depends on your mindset. For most, 1/2 Methods is hard for them because the transition between year 10 and year 11 (school subjects and a VCE subject like Methods) is a big jump.

Once you're well on your way into year 11 however, you will find transitioning to year 12 much, much easier; and hence, Methods in itself is not difficult - just put in the work and you will be rewarded!

It's just 1/2 with a bit more added on, so if you deal with the transition well, you'll find it about on par with the year 11 stuff

I personally found 3/4 easier than 1/2 (aside from the pressure of SACs and exams) because in units one and two you are learning a whole bunch of new concepts which you haven't had much exposure to. I remember in year 10 (when I did 1/2) we would learn something new pretty much every lesson. That doesn't happen so much in 3/4. There are a few new topics in 3/4 - but these always build on knowledge from 1/2. Honestly, I found half the course in 3/4 to be revision of 1/2. 3/4 does go in more depth, but I didn't find the concepts any harder. :)
