anyone have a quick summary of the things that were removed from the course?

anything on transistors with collector current etc?
explain the role of a decoupler in a transistor amplifier and how a capacitor fills this role?

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/correspondence/bulletins/2008/march/2008MARLIFT.pdf (This document again, lists pretty much all the changes made)

Transistors are out of the Electronics and Photonics section.
Skin effect I also believe is out (but it's pretty simple anyway)

Yeah it's in the VCAA bulletins, I saw it referenced in one of this years bulletins, so I looked it up in the bulletin arhive. You can subscribe to that by email, I seriously recommend it. There's usually useful stuff in there.
