Scientific Calculator?
« on: June 14, 2011, 02:14:46 pm »
For those who did the Physics exam, I hope you did your best and you got questions that you could answer!

My question for those who sat the Physics exam - were you allowed to use the Ti-30XB Multiview Scientific Calculator? My Head of School and Chemistry department is pretty unsure about this and my call to VCAA gave me no information about it. So can anyone enlighten me whether they were allowed to use this calculator for Physics? (Since I presume you would be allowed to use it for Chem then as well)

Thanks!

Why not? It's not CAS or graphics calculator and it does not have storage or memory capabilities

Mmm, that was what I was thinking but I'm a bit confused by what they mean by "memory capabilities" because the Ti-30XB doesn't clear what you've typed in when you turn it off. :/

Okay then.
I'll bring both my calculators just in case, but it doesn't seem like they care too much as long as its not a graphics calculator. :)
