If i wanted to do chemical engineering in let's say the university of queensland or adelaide, would that cost a lot in terms of accommodation and uni costs etc.

quick answer yes. I looked into it but the opportunity cost of doing so was too great for me.

At ANU, college is about $260-300 a week for catered, and $140-160 a week for self-catered. Living costs are pretty much food & drink, and petrol if you have a car etc.

the adelaide colleges are very expensive to live at

i think the average is about $280 a week

that's not too bad but i guess i'd rather put that money to a new house or something. Don't know if i should put down a national university aside from melbourne uni's as of yet so i'll have to see my financial situation in a years time.

Actually... living exp in SA aren't that bad... tis probably cheaper than living near-/on-campus @ a Victorian uni like UoM.
