I agree, they are the same in terms of tertiary selection. The UAI and ENTER are equivalent in terms of selection and score.

Yeh, they might, but i think it's unusual for a student who acheived the top score in the state to go and study in another one

The 100 UAI ranking is a really wanky one as they give it just because "those students deserve that particular recognition" despite the face that the ranking is still a percentile based one

HSC is generally considered to be more difficult, i think they have a larger focus on exams

The queensland OP system is generally considered to be the easiest, they have no external examination on their subjects, as their end of year exams are written by their own teachers

I believe the HSC system is the best in Australia. Has great subjects, good focus on exams and an understandable results system (UAI, Universities Admisssions Index)

HSC is ruuuuuuubbish. Ask any HSC student and they'll tell you they'd much rather do the VCE. The subject choice for the most part is better in VCE than HSC. Plus students find it very difficult to know how they're going to do as the marks they're given tell them very little.

I personally think that the IB is the best system, but that's just me...
