just peel the stickers off and match all the colours :P
but then the stickers go all unsticky
the best way is to throw it against a wall so it breaks up into pieces then put it back together with all the colours solved

or just spray paint each side with a different colour....

That's what I did to my one when I was stuck (rearranged one or two), and then a few years ago I found it and discovered that my method had made it impossible to solve, so I chucked it. =)

Did you peel the stickers until you completed it, or only to 'progress' you closer to the goal? If you completed it by this method, there is no way it can become impossible to solve.

Only to progress closer. But I was nooby (<10) and swapped individual stickers from all over the shop. So that for example, there was no yellow sticker in a top right corner any where on the cube, and 2 that were right-middle
