Does a clearly in ENTER garantee you a place?
« on: December 17, 2008, 01:13:22 am »
The Clearly in for my course is 93.5

I got 94.15. Surely that would almost definatly get me in? It was 14% of offers last year were less then the clearly in??

If you make the clearly in, does that mean you are actually "clearly in" or not?

Thanks.

If you make the clearly in, does that mean you are actually "clearly in" or not?

It means that everyone who got 93.5 or better last year who applied for this course got in (note others can get in as well, but literally everyone above this enter received a place based solely on their enter score)

It should almost definitely get you in. However you need to remember that this was from last year's selection cycle. Demand for spots will almost certainly be different this year and thus the clearly in will change (that being said, it wouldn't change dramatically, it will just be a bit different). So what I'm saying is the clearly in for this selection cycle should also be one where you would be clearly in :P

Mind you, shifts of >1 ENTER point can and do occur. That being said, you should be in a good contention, provided you've met your prerequisites.

The course I am doing had an interview as well.

The clearly in enter last year was 81.15, I got an 82 ENTER.

I'm praying it does not change. But because there is an interview as well, i'm confused, will I get in if i'm above Clearly in enter?

I think you should be able to get in, but I was wondering about this too -- kinda freaking out really!

I really really want my top preference, which is a specific teaching course. The clearly-in is 70, and I got 94.35 ENTER. HOWEVER, about half the teaching applicants don't recieve places every year due to limited places.. I'm worried I'll miss out????

i really don't understand why the clearly in doesn't ever shift dramatically, and is usually very similar to previous years...
how is it that the people who apply for the course each year are in the same numbers, and roughly the same ENTER results.. HOW?!?!
