To give you an indication of just how far Apple has come in the last 5 years....

If you bought $100,000 worth of Apple shares 5 years ago (at aprox $10 a share)

your shares would now be worth $1.75 million

*phew*. I thought this was about me for a minute :P

AAPL has risen quite a bit over the months due to the announcement and release of the iPhone 3G.

I want to own some Apple shares, straight from the moment I complete the exams XD. I really don't care if I make a loss (if it occurs from taxes blah) because i'm not going to own alot and I'll have a fuzzy feeling that I have micro ownership of my equal 1st dream corporation XD

(lol imagine Steve Jobs owns like 1.1M shares or something :P)

LOL with that attitude to your finances, I'm sure you'll be very successful haha

Shit 198 mill for Jobsy!

This is a big IF/hypothetical (cause I don't think Jobs would have had that many shares 5 years ago) BUT for illustrations sake if Steve Jobs had 1.1 million shares 5 years ago they would have been worth aprox $11 million

Hmm so he transformed thar 11 mill into nearly 200 mill :|

lol. Um, costa where are you getting your figures from? Because the Apple Shares are worth $174.25

174.25 * 100,000  = $17,425,000 lol.

Cramer ("MAD MONEY" CNBC TV (btw thats a mad channel along with SKY business :P :P )) has recommended AAPL as the stock of the year of 2006 (can't remember) and many analysts have also. Also that's also created some support (buying) pressure. :)

(lol, i'm only going to buy 10-100 shares at the max lol, I'll hedge the risk of losses by my portfolio lol).

However, I will trade alot of AAPL securities over the CFD market (but that's not really owning lol) due to the HIGH leverage (50:1 or 100:1)

Not 100,000 shares. I said $100,000 worth of shares = 10,000 shares @ $10

174.25 * 10,000 = $1,742,500

I like this bit of that first link

"In a world where doubling your money ever 7 years is a wise investment, making over 50x your investment in ten years is crazy amounts of growth."

lol. FX markets on av. yield (expected value) 200% RoI in 3 months, if dealt correctly.

However, FX have the highest std. deviation of returns therefore are extremely risky. When I traded $10,000 on FX Markets, yielded a revenue of ~$100,000 but lost ~$75,000 (FUCKING USD/JPY, NZD/USD I MADE A BAD MOVE LOL) (of course very approximate figures) = $25,000 net profit.

Of course, FX markets should only be MAX 25% (typically 5-10%) of any investment portfolio to hedge risk. (arbitrage is good, you need to have a fair amount of risk-free profit for a nice portfolio).

lol @ the worth. I'm sorry, my mistake :(
