I think people would feel safer using them for Internet purchases.

ANZ offer prepaid visa cards. You can get from 7-elevens or Australia Posts.

They'e pretty nice. And I don't think ANZ is going into liquidation anytime soon :P

@AppleThief, debit cards are much better at internet purchases in my opinion, only because your bank account  is linked to it. Some online stores (such as the Apple Store online :P :P) require credit card id crosschecks to your order address. This helps avoid fraud occuring. Due to this benefit, it renders pre-paid cards useful only small/invaluable purchases.

Perhaps you'd make a more successful bank then? ;)

lol. That's sad when Bill Express exposed its huge debt leaving bopo cards defunct. :( Imagine all the people who bought the card a day prior to the collapse to the parent corporation. LOL, "WTF BOPO'S DEAD ALREADY LUL"

If I wanted to get a true credit card, it would be this:

http://www.citibank.com.au/AUGCB/APPS/portal/loadPage.do?path=/prod/det/cards_bp.htm&tabId=cc,cmc

Holy crap, I didn't know how much banks charged for interest. 19% at Macquarie and Citi (two of my favourite banks xD)!
