What are your pet peeves?

I hate people who think they can constantly tease me and say whatever they feel like (both over the Internet and in real life). I'm guaranteed to loathe them for life, and develop certain stigma attached to them. Why do they think it's cool to tease others?

My current biggest pet peeve: PEOPLE NOT PICKING UP THEIR BLOODY PHONES OR RETURNING CALLS when you've been trying to contact them for about 4 days!!!

(Been trying to call a *veeeeeeeeeery close* (lol) guy friend of mine for 4 days now because he said he wanted to see me this week. But all of a sudden he has just stopped answering his phone/msgs lol! We haven't fought or anything like that so there must be a rational explanation but STILL it's driving me up the wall lol!!!)

I have his home #, but he prefers me not to call it because he says his dad will probably pick up the phone and he'll cop stacks of teasing from his parents and siblings, which he doesn't want because they don't know the extent of our relationship yet, they only know that we're "really good friends"...but he hasn't ORDERED me not to call him at home. So I think I'll give him a call on his home # today...although I'm sorta hesitating about it...:S

Another pet peeve of mine: PEOPLE WHO FEEL THE NEED TO LIE TO IMPLY THAT THEY ARE "ABOVE" YOU.
The other day I went to yum cha with my mum and 3 of her "old lady" friends...I really hate one of them because she's exactly like that, always has to be above you. So she pestered my mum into telling her my ENTER score. And about 5 mins later she just HAS to slip into the table conversation that when her son graduated 5 years ago, he "yeah you know, got, like, 99 point something..."
...which mum and I know is a blatant LIE because this 'friend' once told mum that her son had scored in the very low 98s and hence missed out on Commerce/Law!!! Not to mention, after mum and I said that I'm doing "just Arts" next year (we don't like to talk things up too much), she kept on acting like she didn't believe that I'd scored 98.75 at all, and kept asking us, "so why are you just doing Arts then, if you got that score? Aren't you wasting your score? Huh? HUH?!?!?!". ...Rudeness much?! And I find it very sad that a 60 yr old person feels the need to do this. 

Yeh i hate it when family friends come over and just start bragging about how smart their kids are and all they do is talk about academics. Seriously GET A LIFE!!!

My uncle brags bout my cousin way 2 much and puts 2 much pressure on her, imho.

I think his competitive streak and out-of-control ego won't be able 2 cope if she ends up getting an ENTER lower than mine when she does year 12 in a couple of years.

Parents shouldn't live thru their kids like that.

Sometimes people need to be quiet and let others think, because I couldn't talk to anyone whilst I could overhear what they were saying. :S

Well, sometimes their conversations can  get uber annoying, and I hate people with squeaky voices (bahhh) they make it twice as difficult to tolerate. But sometimes it's funny, but overall annoying.

Tell me about it! I don't get family friends I get relatives... they call from overseas saying my son/daughter just got into medicine/law/nuclear physics/engineering at university... I can't help it if I'm the dumb one in the family >_> Oh and of course who could forget the 6 or so poets in the family >_> Then you get my mother saying... "oh Odette is studying to be an accountant" and they reply "oh that's an alright job... I guess"

Oh and of course, mother starts yelling at me saying "Odette why did you turn out like this? You're a disgrace to the family!" ....I reply "Well mother you're not exactly a rocket scientist now are you?" (and whack),  then I run off to my room

Lol same... My dad's an engineer so I feel I need to be something of higher field just so I don't disappoint him.
