Hmmm, I have to cast my mind back to yr10 [a long time ago] to remember seeing people here wearing poppies. It's de rigeur in England for any public figure and many ppl in the street wear them

If you go into the CBD at around 11, you'll find buglers/trumpeters on quite a few corners.

A few of boys in my old cadet band would've been there, if they still do it.
  What did you play?
Have you ever met trigger_003? she was in the Australian Youth Band

Yeah, I've met her. A bit of a shame that I don't talk to her anymore these days - she's pretty cool.

But, was? Has she left AYB?

I played tenor saxophone. Well, I still play, but for my own pleasure now.

Yeah. A bit of a shame she's slipped off the radar though.

That said, I do talk to one of her friends occasionally (he does BBIS).

I was so happy they observed it @ work (Safeway work, I mean).

We stopped trading 4 the whole minute, and every1 in the store was silent (EVERY1).
I was jst really glad that we still have that respect 4 those who gave their lives 4 us.

Last year, there was a customer getting irate at me when I stopped scanning during the minute's silence.

So I kept scanning. Very, very slowly.

I explained 2 the customer b4hand, and our manager made that 'age will not weary them' speech ova the speaker, so every knew.

I must have held 3 hours and 15 minutes of silence that day then! I'm so proud of myself. :)
