Glen Waverley? Really? I'd say something like Hawthorn, Carlton, Malvern or Caulfield.  The inner suburbs in general really. I just love driving through them and seeing those massive trees on the sides of the roads and the old houses.

Some of the houses/streets in the area. People (most) have been there for a while, place has character...some great places to eat... Although last time i was there, a lot of yuppies were around, kinda detracted from the feel. Also northern suburbs, and outer east, south east suburbs are holes....I've played basketball all around Melbourne and these places suck. Period. Possibly because I'm an inner-city person, but I don't see the appeal in outer-suburb living.
