i need some clarification :(
« on: January 16, 2009, 11:50:01 am »
So, I seem to be slightly inept when it comes to understanding all of the uni offers stuff - my school was shit about this and didn't give us any info, hardly...

Anyway this has probably been posted before but I neeed an explanation - in lamens terms  ;)

Course A was my first pref, and Course B was my second. (My ENTER was waaaaaay above what I actually needed to get in, so we'll ignore that)
Anyway, what if now, I really think that B would be a better option for me? If I get into A, can I transfer to B or whatever?

I don't understnad the whole irregular offer thing! Can anyone shed some light?!?!?! I'm freaking out a bit!

p.s- sorry for sounding slightly brain damaged..

Well...You will need to apply for an irrgular offer:

Irregular Offers
VTAC applicants may apply for an Irregular Offer if they have:

■received an offer but want to be considered for a course of the same type listed lower on your preferences
■received an offer but want to apply for a course not listed on your preferences
■not received an offer and want to apply for a course not listed on your preferences.

But won't be guaranteed you will get the course (what Ive heard)... Courses are filled up in Round 1, whoever meets the requirements gets in. Once its full, it wont offer anymore places.. unless students drop out of course or are eligible for other courses for Round 2.

Look in here http://www.vtac.edu.au/get/offers.html
