Does anyone wear contact lenses instead of glasses?

What are the side effects with contact lenses? how much are they around? are they better than glasses?

Any other info appreciated

i do. they are >9000 times better than glasses. i have had no side effects. what side effects would you think you can get? i mean, your only shoving a thin layer of clear stuff in your eye. nothing too dramatic. im still using trial lenses because its been very hard to find the right pair to fix my stigmatism. anyway, ive been through about 5 different brands and its only cost me 60 dollars. its not rly that expensive when you start using them. you can choose from 2 month, 2 week, 1 week, single wear. its all good fun. ask anything if your still worried. sorry for the late reply too.

Contact lenses, for me, were troublesome.
I wore them for quite a while a few years ago. I didn't get a lot of sleep so that might have contributed to my dry eyes which make contact lenses very uncomfortable. I was often exhausted and on an occasion I fell asleep with them in - I woke up with both my eyes bloodshot red and eye gunk - not very pleasant but it's a rare case. :P

In general, they are not that bad. You take them out every night (washing them under a cleansing solution and submerging the lenses in the solution for the night) and put them on every morning (again, very hard put on in the morning if you don't get much sleep.)

Oh and if you're the type of person who thinks changing your eye colour is cool or if you want pupils that look like a cat's then contact lenses can do that.

cheers!

I have dry eyes, hayfever, a bluish vein in the corner of eye which my optometrist said that it is not cancer since i asked him if it was really bad.
will the above affect me from not being able to wear contacts comfortable?

glasses are a bit of a hassle.

thanks again!!! =]
