I've played with the school orchestra for concertos but I am not in the school orchestra.

It's quite a shame that my school doesn't actually have a concerto concert. Ah well, c'est la vie.

I love the people in our orchestra though. We have fun even when we sound terrible.

I played saxophone, so I couldn't play in one by default. :P

I played concertos with my old school, but for some reason my current one doesn't have a concerto evening. It's insane.

What are you guys playing at the moment in your orchestras?

For our winter concert, we played Die Fleidermaus, the Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings (as a combined string orchestra) and Carmina Burana (as a combined chamber orchestra with voices).

Haha, don't tell me you learn from the same teacher or something.  Or you're in one of the same piano thingimajigs?

We've got people doing Rach 3 and Chopin 1 as well, plus some other pretty ones like Mozart Clarinet and Saint-Saens Horn.  It's going to be rather epic.  :D

I used to play French Horn, but then our music co-ordinator left and our entire music program fell apart.

Carmina was FANTASTIC. My friends and I had a ball playing it, and we were on a complete high afterwards.

I think the director of music was happy with it for a change. Most conductors shake the concertmaster's hand, but she decided to kiss me on the cheek instead...
