Hi, my computer suddenly freezes when I reached the loading page that has "...DMI pool data..."

So I put in the system disc to boot up my computer it freezes after it finishes. I can't press enter or anything, the computer doesn't respond. Also when the computer starts up and I try press "DEL" "F12" "F9" there is no response from the computer...

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Or what's causing it? How do you fix this???

Can you still access the BIOS? if not, it might be a fried motherboard, in which case your hard-drive data might still be safe.

But if you can still see the BIOS screen normally and go in to edit it and etc, and the it fails after that, then it probably is a friend hard-drive. Try putting your hard-drive in a friend's desktop to see if it is still accessible.

Yeah ok I can get into BIOS, and then i go to CMOS features and it has [none] next to everything. Looks like my computer doesn't pick up my harddrive, I've opened the case and reconnected the wires to the harddrive but my computer still doesnt pick it up, is my harddrive dead?

Good chance it is. You won't be able to recover that data through means that are not prohibitively expensive unfortunately.

(the other option is to give the drive to a data recovery specialist who will either replace the electronics [this is probably the broken bit] or strip the disk platter in a clean room - you're looking at a few grand for this).

My computer still has a warranty would they be able to do it?

You could try your PC vendor if you bought it as a packaged PC. But you will probably find that in the fine print of their warranty (or, if you built it yourself, the HDD manufacturer's), that their liability is limited to replacing the hardware only.

Try putting the hard-drive in a friend's desktop to see if it works. It is possible that something else might wrong (maybe the cable? the connector on the motherboard?)

If the hard-drive definitely does not work, then you should look at getting a new hard-drive. Chance of you recovering data from the original drive is quite small.
