Here is what I think the convention should be:

Short answer questions can be answered sufficiently with dot points, but alongside sample answers would be nicer.
Long answer questions will definitely require at least a sample extract, and an outline of the rest of the solution, but a full sample answer is desirable.

Long answer questions are roughly defined as questions worth more than 4 marks, but use your commonsense here: it depends on the subject.

Yeh I agree. I will not be typing up entire answers to my 10 mark question on Legal exam though lol. I will look at how other exam solutions have been done (about 10 of them I've got I think) and I'll find the best way.

Yeah that's true. But people won't be needing prac exams until September. That's obviously not including Biol, Psych, Chem, Physics and Accounting which have mid years.

Maybe midyear exams should be done by then. For the other subjects, why so early? I won't be able to start until January, which means I have a month to work on / contribute to 4 different subject exams.

Also - do we all write one for each subject, or should we write several (if there's enough time; I don't see why there shouldn't be considering most of us are year 12s this year and uni doesn't start til March ...)

Mmm.. I guess so. It's up to you and the people who are also interested in making exams for your subject.

However I will encourage anyone interested in making a Legal Studies exam to PM me about it and the possibility of working together on it. Just the way I'd rather do the Legal exam.

Yeah I don't see why we couldn't get two done for each subject. Even more if possible.

I think though that the quality of exams would be better if say the first exam made for a subject had contributions from a variety of people (with each person editing and consulting with each other) and then after that if further exams were to be made they could be made in a similar way...

But whatever choice anyone makes will be up to them :)

lol this is a quite interesting idea that i would probably have never thought of doing. haha costargh, what do you mean by courting someone in the non-traditional way? i suppose i wouldn't mind doing a Legal Studies one with you... but since we're both in year 11 can we get it done by 1st Feb anyway? Don't think I want to use much time to work on it when I'm busy with the other subjects >.<

and for the answers, maybe i'll just cut and paste some answers I've written up to practice exam questions I have done in the past year if it's relevant. lol im so lazy!
