Did you learn Chem all by urself during the holidays or did u get a tutor?

i thought it would be a bad idea doing it by urself since if u learn a concept in the wrong direction

I learnt it by myself; I am of the opinion that you should only have a tutor to consolidate your understanding of topics, not to actually learn the course itself. I didnt learn it all in the holidays, learnt some of it in 1,2. I did questions to make sure I wasnt going in the wrong direction. :)

lol, anyone else find NMR hard? :)

lol.. i'm embarrassed to say i didn't even step outside my own house -_-""". The average was like 14 - 15 hours a day z.z.z.z

that's bad. i'd prefer a good score + social life rather than perfect score + no life. but that's me.

Yea i think you need a good balance between having a life and the amount of studying you do or your just gonna end up burning out.

Yeah that's pretty much it. Having a social life is the point of my existence, with schooling and everything else being secondary. You can get good scores and at the same time go out a few times during the week and weekend. I manage to get out heaps, and I'd say I still get pretty good scores.

Well I guess if you've already done all the work then you'll have a pretty good social life in year 12...

Yeah but during year 12 you shouldn't be spending countless hours on study and homework anyway. I don't know if it's just me or not, but just because you've finished your subjects doesn't mean me or anyone else is any less capable of finishing them throughout the year, and it certaintly doesn't mean that you'll definitely have a better social life than me during the year because you won't have to work as hard as I will. Lol and I'm not having a go at ya mate, I'm just saying that I think it's a bit of a big statement to say that you'll have a better social life than anyone else just because you've finished a subject.

What are you on about? I dont follow exactly what you are saying

He was never comparing his social life with anyone else anyway. He was just giving his own view that his own life will be made a lot easier now that he has finished the course.

Maybe it was the way I read what he wrote, but I just think it could have been said in a more tactful way, it seemed a bit arrogant to me. But look I'm sorry lol, forget I said anything, I've clearly taken what he said the wrong way.
