:| that is so harsh ....

Odette, don't listen to them. YOUR ENTER DOES NOT DETERMINE HOW SMART YOU ARE. Did you know Einstein failed high school science? It means absolutely nothing. People who get 99.95 are no smarter than you are - you just have to make some clever choices now and trust me, in a few months nobody will give a damn what your ENTER was. Don't give up!!

Thanks guys, i spoke to my vce coordinator, and she told me to come see her later today, to discuss my options, most likely it'll be to repeat vce, but hey i dont mind, its just my parents who really hurt my feelings :(:'(

Your parents?! I thought they said it didn't matter what you got as long as you tried your best?

Don't worry about them though - they will come around and realise that you put in 100%. Isn't there another way of getting into your course without repeating VCE? It's much better to start uni now and get some uni credits down so that you can transfer much more easily.

What course did you want to do? *gets ready to research for you*

Oh but my enter was so terrible, that my parents were like oh odette you've disgraced our family, what are we going to tell people, you're a failure, you belong on the streets or working as a cashier.... blah blah

Um there aren't any courses :'(
Maybe I'll look into doing something else

If they actually did say that, that is disgraceful.

Odette, even if you can't get into the courses on your preferences, at least apply for a TAFE course or something related to what you want to do. It'll look much better to universities if you're resiliant and if you're so passionate about what you want to do, you're willing to do anything you can get into related to it.

Yeah. Try to look for some sort of pathways. I don't think repeating VCE is the right route to go. Make sure your careers adviser isn't advising in the schools interests (having you pay school fees again)

...and what your parents said is fucking disgusting.

Yeah they did say that, and they swore at me too... but let's not go there

Hopefully my vce coordinator can help me out, if not i'll just repeat vce =)

Hey Odette? Like are you sure your ENTER score isn't that bad?

Don't be influenced by your parents- you've probably done a top job!

Can we have a rough idea of what your ENTER actually was?

You got a 42 for methods last year. You were awesome at bus man. You almost got 100% on your further exam. Have VCAA stuffed up your results or something?

Life is relentlessly testing us for our level of dedication, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As unsophisticated as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.

I think it was last year or the year before I remember reading something about a girl that was destined for a really good ENTER who on results day got a low ENTER and it ended up being a mistake. Unless I just made that up in my head and it became reality lol
Im pretty sure it happed though
