but my dad is forcing me to get one b4 i go 2 china :tickedoff:
anyone's had it do u know whether it hurts or not?~
Im sort of against having the swine flu vaccine. I don't like the fact that whenever there is a new vaccine out, my parents would be like, "ooh you must get it".
And this vaccine is new so we don't know if there are any bad side effects.
Question: is it true that you must get vaccinated for swine flu in order to travel overseas?
My family is very skeptical of having new vaccines that have just come out. I'm not going to have the flu vaccine. My uncle and auntie got it and said you feel like you are going to die, but they recovered. Unless the virus gets that bad, I won't bother getting the injection.
As for immunization requirements before heading overseas this is something you should discuss with your GP.
lol its made of eggs...
they grow the flu viruses in fertilized chicken eggs so it will probably have traces of egg protein (so only if ur allergic to egg u shouldnt take)
and yeah its a killed/inactivated vaccine they kill it with formaldehyde... so it doesn't grow or anything... ur immune system just recognize it and produced a weak immune response to it...
You can't kill a virus (well maybe if you subjected it to ionic plasma, you may destroy it's molecular structure), as you said it's 'deactivated'.
This is quite interesting, the growth medium is an egg containing a chicken.
As you can see my biology knowledge is very limited
