Put your subjects, put any major awards, put down any activities that demonstrate leadership or teamwork and note any previous work experience.

I think...

Take it as a dick measuring contest, you have to prove to your hopeful employer that you're dick is bigger than the guy's next to you.

Though kendra's analogy was quite concise and accurate I have to say.

Back on topic, I would highly recommend you put any work experience (you would have some in year 10), leadership skills, the subjects you completed in year 12 and at least 2 referees.

That's the bare minimum.

How about retail?  Would you happen to have experience there?

lol - this is typical of parents ; once you finish Year 12, they force you to work.

Yep.  But I have to agree with them.  An education is not enough in the 21st century.  Experience is what counts these days and the only way to get it is by actually getting a job.

Yep, that is totally effin right :(

My 'rents are like - "go to work" in the retail industry. But I really cbfed since it's sooo hot, and I have like a ton of movies to watch LOL

I mean, I tutored in the past so I had some work experience. But I'm going to volunteer quite a fair bit now. I volunteered for the Around the Bay Uni sport event, got accepted into the PAL ambassadors program, will participate for the make-a-wish fundraising event, and will participate as a volunteer in further uni sport events.  I'm thinking to join the Oaktree foundation's generate program, but I dnno since transport will be an issue.

(I'm going to put more effort to participate in club meetings/events)
