Biomed is more medically focused than science (for example in biol we cover viruses and infections which I'm pretty sure normal biol don't do). Biomedicine is also more geared towards grad med/dent/physio etc than what science is. Also, we meet the prerequisites for Med etc just by completing the course, there is no "special subjects" we need to choose. For example, in first year we do the subject "Chemistry for Biomedicine" instead of having to do 2 semesters of Chemistry.

Oh yeah, and in first semester biol, Biomed students dissect rats....science students dissect mice :P (well, that's what i heard anyway...)  ;)
