3/4 Vietnamese, 1/4 Thai, born in Aus. I'm a disgrace, I can't even speak Viet LOL. I understand it but strangely enough I can't speak it.

I did 8 years of Viet school and still can't speak well; writing and reading is just fail.

And I also can listen and understand Viet but can't speak and pronounce Viet words properly

Maybe I should've gone to those Saturday language schools when I was young (my parents did want me to go when I was young but I threw tantrums, saying that I didn't want to go )

Lol, my pronunciation is sooo bad. My family's always making fun of it.

I don't know about everyone else who went to Saturday school, but mine was atrocious. I hardly learnt anything. After they taught us spelling and reading in primary school years, the learning just kinda stopped and I spent most of my Viet classes bludging.
