Has anybody read Lian Hearns "Across the Nightingale floor" as part of the Otori trilogy.

It's sort of set in a Japan type land.

Dito. Although the book I'm currently reading is a little simple.

"Imagining Numbers: (particularly the square root of minus fifteen)" It's pretty quirky.

Also struggling to get through "The mathematical principles of natural philosophy" - reading it on google books though so it gets painful on the eyes after awhile.

Any recommendation?

The Iliad or William Shakespeare's Complete Works (particularly Hamlet and King Lear).  =)

If it had to be a novel, probably The Metamorphosis or Lord of the Flies.

The metamorphosis by Kafka is amazing! Favorite book would have to be either The Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm or Jude the Obscure.

Stupid VCE - wasn't able to read any non VCE prescribed books, so now this is revenge, especially for having to read Hard Times.
