Quick question for those UoM'ers who are in their second year or higher....

From experience, is it better to have a tutorial before or after a lecture?

As currently, I have my Calculus 2 tutorial straight before the lecture, and now a time has opened up straight after it, I'm considering to change.....
doesn't matter, tutes are always based on the previous weeks lecture

What about first week then? Do we go to tutes?

typically first week there are no tutes, or if there are, its usually ice breaker activities

Hello there,
I am terribly sorry to inform you that unfortunately, i cannot help you in
regards to changing your tutorial time/place.
As i said earlier, I cannot transfer into a Friday tutorial as I generally
allocate this day to cleaning me family's collection of fine and expensive
relics. Good luck on your search and all other future endeavors that you
may attempt.
Yours sincerely,
Bulbasaur

;D

does anybody know how this tute swap thing works? is it a scam?

whoops. sorry about that. some guy was responding to some person's email, but for some reason he sent it to everybody doing accounting. i just found it funny that he decided to send it to everybody, 'cleaning me family's collection', and that he signed it off with a starter pokemon.

as for me, i replied to some guy's tute swap offer. i was really desperate to get out of my lecture that ends at 6.15. i have no idea how it's gonna turn out, so that's why i asked about it.

Yeah, the first time that happened to me was for marketing. Some lady asked if I wanted to be in her group for some assignment. I was like 'wtf? we've got assignments?' Now half my inbox is just '[subject] tute swap [day] [time]'.

Also:
Routine maintenance (totalling how many students are in each tute etc) is happening on the timetable server at the moment. Should be back up in 15 mins.
ETA: 11:30pm

WAT DOES THIS MEAN? ???

LOL .
Yeah. Expect to get a lot of those emails. You'll probably get emails too from people trying to sell their textbooks to you.

Yeah. It's kind funny seeing the warning at the top of the message about not using it for trade, then seeing someone trying to off a book for $90.

:( I was hoping something would come out of it. mah dreamz :'(

edmund, it's annoying, but i can understand where they're coming from. it's not their fault that uom have a shitty system.
