Is it a proper test? Or just a scheme to scare students into buying their stuff, like TSFX exams.

I heard Melbourne University does not need UMAT for Science/Biomedicine?

Should I still take it seriously? I've already signed up to Medentry and everything :/

Science/Biomed are general degrees... All they require is an ENTER.
(89 for science, 97.90 for biomed, according to this year)

Don't worry too much... later on you will realise that once you get the interview offer, UMAT doesn't count much

I thought I did OK in the UMAT, not too great to be honest ... but it came out all right.

I started studying about April, but really, the major study came in the last 2 weeks, when I crammed a lot. Believe it or not it worked.

Don't worry too much about what you see on MedEntry. I'll give you a guide:

Section 1 - UMAT considerably harder than MedEntry plus you can't think straight under pressure
Section 2 - UMAT and MedEntry don't always agree here
Section 3 - MedEntry is much harder

I recommend doing the workshop at about April, this is a good time since it's not too close but close enough to give you a good indication. MedEntry predictions can turn out quite accurate. Most of my friends found out that their indicative scores were actually right on the mark.

now i know how people who had to take the dictation test must have felt...
