i wish umat was that easy.  some of the questions are so gay.  you have to read slabs of information/analyse tables of data and they often give those types of questions where you can't just solve it, you have to check each of the answers and see which fits best. :(

....and all in one minute!

yeah it is the time limit that stuffs you up.  the questions are easy if you have time to do them, but doing it in a few seconds only is so hard.

does anyone have any strategies.  according to medentry, 75% is an awesome score to get on the umat.  is it better to maybe to aim to do 3 out of every 4 questions properly and just guess the hardest ones?

btw i was gonna do eng hw, but now vexx has me all pumped to do umat prep instead haha!

i actually read uber-fast too, i don't know it takes me so long to solve each problem.. i made tables and diagrams for quite a few and thought about it intensely... which is a good idea but not enough time to do it!

my teahcer said that if you get like 250 out of 300 then u get into w.e cousre u want :(

i think about 200 is 99th percentile, and 215 is 100%ile.
and it only guarantees you an interview (or a place at UTAS as that's 100%ile for interstate school-leavers)

yeah it is the time limit that stuffs you up.  the questions are easy if you have time to do them, but doing it in a few seconds only is so hard.

i would go very far from saying they are easy, i did pretty well, but not anywhere in the 90%ile range even with a long amount of time. they are very hard questions and even harder in a time limit. gah i hate this.

yeah do umat work! every 3-4 weeks i am doing a few drills or prac exam, that's not that much really but its good.

95% is the best score to get ... beyond this the score is quite meaningless

not really.... considering if you want to go to UTAS right after school, or get a lower ENTER for UNSW and so a umat %ile of high 90's will help get an interview... the interivew cutoff for monash might raise to 93%ile again, so it's good to get a score that guarantees you in anyway.

i probably won't get high enough for monash interview at the moment, i feel i won't ever improve.
this umat is ridiculous D:
