I'll put a few names out: Buffon, Julio Caesar, Gerrard, Iniesta (if fit), Evra, Drogba. (you may wanna get these players in your team, the.watchman!) :D

My team now is:

Casillas, Buffon
Cole, Maicon, Evra, Pepe, Vidic N
De Rossi, Lampard, Kaka, Malouda, Dempsey
Messi, Kuyt, Villa

Drogba is injured :P
(oh and dont copy, ok? :D)

also don't know if pepe will play, seeing as he hasn't played for real since december.

don't know what fantasy league you're with, but i dunno if its worth having two world-class gks that are costing you a lot each. esp if one isn't earning you points.

dont think maicon is first choice right back for brazil, i think dani alves is, so you might wanna take that into consideration. edit-judging by the numbering, maybe maicon is first choice right back. ditch what i wrote before then.

vidic (servia) is in group c, along with germany, australia + ghana. rather good chance of them progressing.

get rid of kuyt. lol

it's virtualsports, so no prices but two from each country max.
oh, and subs count for half their points :)

had dani alves, but after looking at game time, switched to maicon
and whats wrong with kuyt? :P

I voted New Zealand, even though they'd seriously be lucky to score a goal.
They have the same odds as North Korea

Actually, I'd rate North Korea as more of a chance to not score at all - considering the competitiveness of their group.

they might this time around. capello is no idiot when compared to ppl like dunga + maradona. that's why brazil and argentina will not win.

anyone reckon Brasil will win? they have a pretty solid squad. though Kaka and Robinho may not be coming off a good season, they still have quality to win, I reckon. They have players like Luis Fabiano, Maicon, Lucio, Elano.. just to name a few. (though they left out Pato and Ronaldinho!)

don't think so. relatively solid backline with maicon/alves, lucio, thiago silva + juan + cesar. will all depend on the balance they strike with their midfield. they only seem to have two decent holding midfielders - ramires + silva (who is 33) melo is crap. so maybe, depends on dunga.

it was quite clear from euro 2008 that spain were/are the best team in the world. now everyone has jumped on the bangwagon lol.

We had a world cup sweepstake at school today, someone paid twice for two picks, and ended up with North Korea and Honduras.. LOL

France will be a dark horse.

Whenever anyone doesn't expect anything from them (eg. this worldcup, and last worldcup) they do well.
Whenever there are high expectations eg. euro 2008. they struggle
