Is it true you need A+ in every single SAC of a 3/4 subject to get 40+
Is there anybody who has achieved a high score (40+) but they didn't get A+ on every single SAC (not including those at mhs or other schools were SACs scale up ridiculously)

And I mean your individual school SACs grades not the adjusted grade you get from VCAA on December the 15th along with your study score

I doubt that you would need A+ for every single SAC individually, and in all subjects, the exams are the most important, so if you pull off some really good marks in the exams, your SAC marks will be dragged up.

Also it depends on the competition around the state, if its a popular subject then every mark will count, if not, then you may have a bit of leniency as to what marks you must get go score 40+

The subject I'm talking about is Legal Studies. We have five sacs this semester for legal, each worth 20/100

I got 14/20 (a B) for the first and only SAC so far

Is it possible for a 45+ still, without having to get 100% on everything from here on in? Or are my chances ruined with that SAC

Although others have made valid points, it doesn't mean that you can get complacent with your SACs though. My friend only lost one mark in the English exam and ended up with below 40 despite the fact that such an exam score normally would have got him a 50 solely because he screwed up his unit 4 SACs as a result of complacency.

In year 11, when I was doing year 12 health, I had no idea about the importance of SAC's on my study score, so for unit 3 ended up with an 81/100 overall SAC score, unit 4 improved to 96/100, and I ended up with a score of 46. So getting a B on one SAC isn't going to determine how low your study score is. Just use it as a learning experience, and aim for A+ every time, cos SAC's do matter!

how badly did he screw up???

As a matter of curiosity, does MHS get English SACs scaled up as much as it does for other subjects, seeing as English isn't one of MHS's strongest subjects

Borderline failing I think so it's an extreme case, but it's just to show that SACs can matter. I'm not too sure how much our SACs scale, but my straight A's went to an A+ (which I guess most would say is expected so it doesn't show much at all really).

This guy went to MHS, and his SACs screwed him up that badly?

I think borderline failing can't get saved by a good exam, even at MHS, evidently.

lol it sucks if you get 100% and you are in a strong cohort, where even 90% can go to 100%
