practice makes perfect, section 1 usually takes longer to improve.
2010- English, Methods (CAS), Physics, Specialist, Chem.
2011- Bachelor of Commerce/Aerospace Engineering - Monash

What practise drills?
Keep doing them, and read faster to have more time to think about it.
If you get stuck, move on straight away then come back to it.

I find when I'm doing well on time, I relax, and when I relax, I do really really well on section 1.
When I'm slow, even by a few minutes, I panic, get slower, to do even worse on the prac exams.
Number 1 tip I have is remain calm, and avoid panic, the best way to do this is to be fast. You doing UMAT 2010? with me :D
