http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/gay-pride-swells-after-science-admits-animals-can-be-queer-as-folk/story-e6frg8l6-1225837306777

Quote
MALE ostriches bat for both teams. When they woo females, they perform a raunchy dance designed to show off the length and health of their feathers. When courting other males, they perform the same flamboyant hustle but with a special pirouette that's only ever been observed in boy-on-boy ostrich action.

Quote
Homosexual behaviour in giraffes is thought to be more prevalent than heterosexual behaviour;
Same-sex greylag geese couples have been known to raise chicks together in life-long unions.
Same-sex spotted dolphin pairs stimulate each other using sonar in a move Flipper-ologists have nicknamed genital buzzing.

Quote
Now, however, homosexual behaviour is recognised in more than 1500 species, including hyenas, cheetahs, bison, bears, sea otters, kangaroos, hedgehogs, scarab beetles, vampire bats and, last but obviously by no means least, bighorn sheep.

Gay people are unnatural, eh?

Its sort of unnatural in the fact its kind of counter-productive for the species but yeah it happens all the time in the animal kingdom. (so does rape and murder; that's natural but I'm not going down this road.. I'm not against gay rights or anything..)

I don't think it's counter-productive, it's just not productive. (in the sense that they don't have children)
I bet the next argument they'll make is that gay people are animals :P

Well they're consuming resources and creating more potential competition for food, water and space and not to mention the energy and resource investment required to produce and rear the children, i believe it is counter-productive.

It would be neither only if they sat in some magical plane and didn't consume anything.

Oh wow...
Not everyone gets married and not everyone has kids. Are those people also counter-productive?
You don't need kids to still be able to contribute to society.

I'm not talking about humans specifically or human societies.

THOSE ANIMALS ARE GOING TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But in all seriousness: homosexuality has been observed in animals before. There is a whole species of lizard that only has females. How they reproduce is a mystery to me but I'm sure THE INTERNET can explain it.

i did an assignment last year in bio on them!
they don't need a partner to reproduce (clones), but they often require stimulation from a female of their species to do so. hah

Well the thing is that humans come from the kingdom animalia, so we actually are animals.

What do people have against human = animal?

The philosophical argument which underlies all this is that there is no moral reason for why natural=good.  Religious peeps who say that gay sex=bad because it's unnatural don't have any real justification; they're invoking the naturalistic fallacy.
