Laptops for secondary school students?

Well Im going to Secondary school next year and like 20 diffrents schools get reps to come to our school and start bragging and some of them say
they give all students Laptops for studys and whatever... are they bullshiting or serious?  :-\

Lol yeah, we can't buy we must rent from the school at that set price. But it's all configured for us, with all these programs and the school drive, as well as wireless internet, webcam etc... and IT support.
