Can't wait till virtual reality tho :D

It's gonna be awesome... in 150 years or so every human will be a god of their own little universe. The only thing we'll need is extra processing power, so we'll send out nanobots to construct Dyson spheres, harvesting energy from the sun and eventually spreading to other systems. After many years the universe will begin to die, but we won't care, because in virtual reality you can make time move as slow or as fast as you want, turning a second into an eternity. Perhaps after several millenia, people will forget that the outside world exists, and will inhabit their virtual universe as if it were the real universe. And how can you argue that this would be a bad thing? After all, who's to say our universe is any more real than a virtual universe anyway?

Well, Avatar is still based in the real world. It's actually quite similar to The Matrix, except you can choose what kind of Matrix you want.
On second thoughts being a god might be quite boring... so I dunno if the idea has any merit.
