Lol yeah my theory with the surnames was supported until one of my friends with the last name S got 8am too :O
Must be completely random. Wouldn't those required to get there at 1:30 have their test start at 3 and basically end around 6?! :S

You could still potentially discuss a few of the harder questions by describing them by content rather than number

I just heard that there are several different umat tests, so even within your session the people around you could have different tests.

The questions could also be in different order aswell. but in the end if there were 5 key questions you got a morning person to tell an afternoon person, it would be quite unfair.

There will probably be overlap, so no one can tell anyone anything.  Morning people probably won't be able to leave until the afternoon people are all locked up in confinement for their 3 hours of torture... :)

i.e I'd imagine it goes like 8:30 people start UMAT at 10:00.  Finish at ~1:00.  Can leave at 2:00.

Anyone who is in the afternoon session and arrives after 2:00, tough luck, go home.  We start at 3:00 and go til ~6:00

Just my take on things.

When i sat it, i was in the morning and we were allowed to leave once the test was over. There was no waiting for other students to arrive, but I don't know if there was an afternoon session back then.

I've heard that, statistically, morning session students score higher than those in session 2.

However, i also heard you're marked against the people in your session, so it shouldn't matter.

^^ That'd be good , however I dont think exam performance differs too much frankly.
