So I turned 18 in June and I haven't enrolled, yes I know I'm lazy. Enrollments need to be in by monday 8pm and it's just not gunna happen. So I'm probably gunna get fined now. I was just wondering if anyone knows how much I'm going to be hit up for??
Damn I thought the election was gunna be in november

I thought you only get the fine if you're on the roll and don't vote? But if you're not on the roll, you don't get fined. I could be wrong though.

In any case, I believe the fine is $20.

It's not too hard to enrol at this point, as you can either fax or email the form.

I know it might be illegal but i know ppl who didn't enroll and they never got fined.

What the hell is the point of not enrolling and giving the government some free money out of my pocket?

^ I seriously doubt it.

When you guys all turned 17, didn't the AEC send you a birthday card saying your present is electoral enrolment.  I just filled out the form, sent it off, and was done with it...

I also am MEGA lazy haha, but one thing that annoys me more than having to fill out a form, is having it lye around creating unnecessary mess, and the knowledge that if I don't fill it out and send it, I'll likely come to regret it in the future.
