1. You've spelled presence as 'prescence' in the intro.
2. You're using Vancouver it seems but you've started numbering at 8? Or is this something you're going to just clean up at the end (which is what I normally do, ignore if so).
3. A bit ambiguous when you say 'of this field' as to which field you're referring to. The hydrophobic effect? The molecular origin of the hydrophobic effect?
4. Maybe say 'the hydrophobicity of ice'? Doesn't really matter.
Other than that, seems fine.

1. I blame LaTeX and its inability to spell-check (by that, I mean I haven't bothered to install it)
2. I also blame LaTeX, I haven't bothered to ask my supervisor how he does it
3. The report is meant to aim at an academic in the field, I'm going to guess they'll understand I'm talking about electric fields in a paper about electrical permittivity
4. Sticking with this one, following the trend of semi-coherent English in all these papers I have in front of me.
